Here are 5 essential-oil based in-flight skin care tips that have worked for me, a former Frequent Flier. Add 10 drops of a good Dry Skin essential oil blend to 1 ounce of your favorite shea butter-based body lotion for maximum benefit as well. After you land, take a nice, long bath to soak up more moisture and soothe your nerves. For dry scalp (which causes embarrassing flakes) and lips in-flight, rub several drops of Lavender oil into your scalp and a single drop onto your lips to help eliminate dandruff and alleviate chapped lips. I like a blend of equal parts Roman Chamomile, Palmarosa, Ylang Ylang, Rose, and Sandalwood.

De Ice Boots Preventative Care
Floor wax as it dries on skin is not a pretty thing, boy did it hurt and I never did that again. I remember an article in AOPA Magazine also touting the PBS product. Being that de-ice boots are a safety item many AI Mechanics will not sign off the annual if the boots look checked or old. If your de-ice boots look too far gone already try some floor wax and then PBS prep and then the sealant. Save you de-ice boots as they may save your life.

Future Shuttle Launches
True safety should begin with complete reality based thinking, back up systems and confidence in the abilities of the systems and those trusted to do their job. Just because the space shuttle would most likely be doing a dead stick landings as it always does should not make any difference, as the runway at Cape Canaveral is huge and made for such emergencies. Additionally why would the astronauts need to see to fly the spacecraft/aircraft at that point? After all they practice such aborted launches after lift off in simulators, where they are not actually looking at the ground and also we have available now systems, which are even used in Business Jets for zero/zero visibility landings. Is it possible to have such a system for the space shuttle launch? Or can we send up fire works along the perimeters of the spectator areas to trick a missile fired by anyone with a hand held surface to air shoulder launched weapon? We know our Space Shuttle could be targeted by International Terrorists. The systems send out many very hot flare type pieces out of the back of the aircraft and fool the Surface to air missile into thinking that those are the targets, thus the missile goes after the chafe flares instead of the actual aircraft.

Conversely, if you bury yourself and it seems to others that all you care about or all you ever want to do is fly all day (or hang around the airport), you're setting yourself up or prolonging discontent. You start out with trying to budget for the weekly flying lessons. Then you need (or want) the unnecessary (but fun) goodies that we all need to pursue our passion. Let's see, do we pay the mortgage this month, or get that (fill in the blank) that you just have to have. If your flying hobby is doing more harm than good, if it's dipping into the family budget and time allocation, more than you can or should be spending, it's time to reevaluate.

New runways, taxi ways, landing systems, air traffic control towers, terminals, parking, emergency services, environmental care, conveyor belts, check in systems, security, cargo warehouses, IT Systems, computers, air-conditioning and all the private sector hotels, car rentals, ground transportation interface and trucking terminals. Think about how big this really is for a country growing this fast. As aircraft become larger there are even more issues as a 747 or the new Airbus A380 unloading puts 1000's of people in the terminal all at once and connecting flights wait for the bottle neck. India is also well located for the international traveler as a hub city to the Middle East, Europe and Asia as it sits along most direct routes and perfect for the World's traveling business crowds. But can the airports handle the demand as the airlines buy more and more jets and the demand for air travel increases? Parking alone is a huge issue, as the number of automobiles in the country is also skyrocketing as citizens gain access to the middle class.

The real airline companies who care about their companies and are not looking only to manage stock, buy up weak competitors and consolidate, those airlines are giving customer service are doing fine. But I do point out here and forever that we are simultaneously rewarding those who act out and are not following the program. I am not saying that Teen Challenge, DARE or any of another dozen programs are not totally worthy efforts both in our time spent and the results yielded. Only different in that they try harder or dream more. But those who surpass the program we do not.

In America we no longer mine our own raw materials, Iron Ore mines cannot stay in business due to regulations and restrictions, same goes for Gold Mines, Copper, etc. BMW in the US is running into similar issues as are all auto manufacturers as they use Franchised Car Dealerships as a business model. The franchising industry is completely over regulated as well. Red tape and bureaucracy are unnecessarily inhibiting business development in the United Kingdom while costing it a fortune, according to the managing director of BMW (GB), Jim O'Donnell.
