American Airlines; Crash: Nov. 12, 2001
The years following have been the safest years in Airline Industry History. Remember Chicago O hare disaster with the DC-10, engines are not suppose to fall off airplanes and aircraft should not be born with defects, airlines should maintain aircraft, and pylons which attach powerful engines to wings. After the O'Hare crash they put all DC-10 pilots through the same scenario, half survived in the simulator, thus that American Airlines flight and crash was also preventable totally. These pylons and engine attachments should never be so rigid as to break off at the first sign of wind shear, adverse yaw at slow speeds or wake turbulence. They should not have been that close to the KLM, as the pilot in command should have moved away from the problem and when problems did occur should have flown the plane first.

Travel Tips:Tips for Safer flying
Common sense should tell you that you shouldn't bring hazardous materials on the aircraft unless they were allowed by the airline and shipped in a proper container. An emergency situation is very unlikely, but incases of an emergency evacuation, follow the flight attendants directions. Entering Business Aviation, Part II: Pay Rates for Flight Attendants
If you are located in Pocatello or Burlington the chances of you finding work in the first place are remote, unless a fractional operator hires you and allows you to airline to reposition for your flight. Much of what I've heard as the quoted salary is in the low to mid-50s range. Generally, those companies looking for someone with no experience necessary, will train will pay less than those who state they want an employee who is up to date with their training and has flown for a number of years. Contract rates vary widely and depend, again, on your location, responsibilities, experience, etc. If the company insists on paying 35K, guess what? You won't make anything near 60K, you'll be crossed off their list and the person settling for 35K will get the job.

Airlines, Price Wars, and Branding
I say take that challenge, deliver great quality, lower prices and raised standards. DO NOT FOLLOW ANY INDUSTRY STANDARDS OR SET ANY LIMITS. ADVISE YOUR COMPETITORS THAT THEY ARE BREAKING THE INDUSTRY NORM, EVERYTIME THEY LOWER SERVIC TO COMPETE ON PRICE, AND ALERT THE INDUSTRY NEWS. Their article is like saying that an Olympic athlete who works out too hard and sacrifices too much should slow down to 5-minute miles in the Marathon and let the other runners catch up. If you have inside information that this is occurring you are winning and should lower it again, because they will surely never catch up for lost ground or lost market share and you have the synergy and the power of presence on your side.

Young Men Trying to Imitate the 9-11 Scenario, Part II
This meant we would have more pilots for military, airlines and the like. Thus creating better pilots for the airline demands and of course with a bigger pot to pick the crème, better pilots means better safety. An issue I have currently with the newest pilots coming on board at airlines, who cannot really fly an airplane. Without the tax write off they could not be flown as often creating a terrible array of accidents in older aircraft. How could they understand what it means to fly? They are ground lovers.

Young Men Trying to Imitate the 9-11 Scenario, Part III
We hurt the flight schools cash flow and FBOs. The real airline companies who care about their companies and are not looking only to manage stock, buy up weak competitors and consolidate, those airlines are giving customer service are doing fine. Insurance went up thus costing more to fly a plane for an hour. So really the age should be lowered for special circumstances. Thus no way for them to allow extra flying time above what he could afford.
