Whos Paying for the Private Jet?
Unlike Hammer, stars like Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis, Sly Stallone and John Travolta get their studios to pay for their 60 to 90 thousand dollar private jets. Offering an escape from paparazzi, peace and relaxation private jets have become a favorite toy of the rich and the famous. Travolta even convinced his studio to give him a personal private jet for his own use 24/7. There's also been rumors that one famous couple held a fit when their studio would not pay for a private jet to fly their luggage from L. Just by showing up to an award show, you'll most likely come across a private jet coupon in your grab bag.

Entering Business Aviation, Part I: Types of Aircraft
Long a builder of regional jets, Embraer aircraft should start showing up increasingly as they are the low cost price leader in their category. The jets that people fly in corporate aviation are usually a lot smaller than those found with the airlines. Compared with a Westwind, Lear, or Cessna, the larger jets have an aisle to walk up and down upon and the headroom usually is adequate to allow easy passage of anyone under 6' tall. Matt manages the Corporate Flight Attendant Community at http. Lastly, Embraer has recently entered the business jet fray with their Legacy aircraft.

Fuselage Mounted Laser Vortex Enhancer Directed to Airfoils
Recently it was announced that they would put this new airborne laser system onto fighter jets. I further propose that this system would synchronize with the amount of air needed to maintain airflow needed in the intakes for air, wing lift and the thrust vectoring jets for stability. We can use redirected or reflected laser cannon beams to increase stability in transitional flight situations to prevent departure of the aircraft from flight, by changing the air around the airfoils and control surfaces, Think about it. We need an off-shoot of this technology which is being tested by General Atomics and Lockheed to prove my concept will work. When not in use for evasive maneuvering the pole would retract into the nose of the aircraft.

Mirrors to Redirect Mini Laser Weapons on Fighters for Vortex Airflows
Recently a new airborne laser system was announced to be put onto fighter jets, once this technology becomes more advanced we will no longer need missiles for air-to-air combat. All this would synchronize with the amount of air needed to maintain airflow needed in the intakes for air and the thrust vectoring jets for stability. We need an off shoot of this technology which is being tested by General Atomics and Lockheed to prove my concept will work. When not in use for evasive maneuvering the pole would retract into the nose of the aircraft. We can use redirected or reflected laser cannon beams to increase stability in transitional flight situations to prevent departure of the aircraft from flight, by changing the air around the airfoils and control surfaces, please be thinking here.

India Air Traffic Issues to Come
Some industry analysts believe the number of new jets ordered of 490 is less than a third of what will be needed. New runways, taxi ways, landing systems, air traffic control towers, terminals, parking, emergency services, environmental care, conveyor belts, check in systems, security, cargo warehouses, IT Systems, computers, air-conditioning and all the private sector hotels, car rentals, ground transportation interface and trucking terminals. Think about how big this really is for a country growing this fast. But can the airports handle the demand as the airlines buy more and more jets and the demand for air travel increases? Parking alone is a huge issue, as the number of automobiles in the country is also skyrocketing as citizens gain access to the middle class. If you are traveling to India expect delays, traffic, inconvenience as the airports work thru their growing pains.

A380 Bathrooms
Both Airbus and Boeing have seen record orders for their latest model jets. Ready to get out of the driver seat yet and into a futuristic amenity rich modern jet airliner? The major commercial jet manufacturers and airlines are betting that you will. The Boeing 787 will have humidified air, so no more dry eyes during flights and because of its stronger composite cabin, it will leave the cabin pressure at 6,000 feet instead of 8,000 or 10,000 feet, meaning it is safer on the bio-system with more oxygen. Will this get more air travelers out of their SUVs and into airliners for those 350 plus mile journeys? Some industry analysts think it just might be the ticket the market sector needs. Boeing is also planning as a standard feature on its 787 airliners to have a window in the laboratories.

Entering Business Aviation, Part V: Tips on Finding Work
After the recent crashes involving corporate jets you certainly do want to be knowledgeable about industry best practices involving ice. If you are an NBAA member you get a copy of their directory which lists many companies that fly these very same jets. Preferably, you would also attend events where a lot of pilots hang out, especially pilots of cabin class jets which include the Global Express, G-V and Falcon Jet 2000. If you are a corporate flight attendant, do not expect many jobs to be listed publicly in any case. See if you notice any difference in jobs listed.

Future Shuttle Launches
True safety should begin with complete reality based thinking, back up systems and confidence in the abilities of the systems and those trusted to do their job. Just because the space shuttle would most likely be doing a dead stick landings as it always does should not make any difference, as the runway at Cape Canaveral is huge and made for such emergencies. Additionally why would the astronauts need to see to fly the spacecraft/aircraft at that point? After all they practice such aborted launches after lift off in simulators, where they are not actually looking at the ground and also we have available now systems, which are even used in Business Jets for zero/zero visibility landings. Is it possible to have such a system for the space shuttle launch? Or can we send up fire works along the perimeters of the spectator areas to trick a missile fired by anyone with a hand held surface to air shoulder launched weapon? We know our Space Shuttle could be targeted by International Terrorists. The systems send out many very hot flare type pieces out of the back of the aircraft and fool the Surface to air missile into thinking that those are the targets, thus the missile goes after the chafe flares instead of the actual aircraft.

General Aviation Manufacturing is in the Tank; Hang On It is Going to Get Worse
We will also see problems in this market as insurance carriers increase prices as less experienced pilots and single pilot mini-business jets experience a higher percentage of will occur. In fact such accidents are already causing friction in the corporate jet insurance costs, showing that certain companies are separating out the categories to keep the mini-business jets in their own realm and pricing points. Long Term will be good because these are considered starter jets attracting new buyers to the market, however short term they will pull buyers away from the higher priced turbo cabin class singles of 4-8 seats. One new market the mini-Business Jet, seems to be a potential as many companies are building these under 1 million dollar jets. This means if we have to import raw materials to compete, we pay those shipping costs too and as the price is passed on for the over regulation in every industry we are finding we are our own worst enemy.

Private Jets: 4 Leaders in Fractional Flying
Richard Santulli is the brainchild behind modern fractional jet flying as he founded Netjets on this principle in 1986. The concept has grown from selling shares in a few jets to selling shares in sixteen different models. Today, Flexjet customers can purchase shares in various Learjets [now owned by Bombardier] and Canadair [another Bombardier make] aircraft. Not to be left out in the cold, Canadian aircraft maker, Bombardier, jumped into the fray with AMR Combs [parent company of American Airlines] and started Business JetSolutions. During the time you are actually flying -- and also for a predetermined amount of time before takeoff and after touching down -- you will be assessed hourly charges to cover catering, maintenance, fuel, and landing fees.

Airline Fuel Costs Mount
Think of the military aviation, jets, helicopters, UAVs, AWACs, bombers and even flying gas stations in the sky for aerial re-fueling. The airline industry is under extreme pressure now. If they keep raising their fees to passengers then the passenger per plane ratios drop off, meaning flight are unprofitable. Generally Airlines too are a 24-hour business. It is like running several airlines non-stop 24/7.

Aerodynamic Inflatable Wing Gates for STOL I propose inflatable wing gates to pop up on modern day aircraft to allow for slower stall speeds on landing. Before takeoff these inflatable gates will blown up into place with small canisters.

First Class Airfare: How the Rich Travel Sleep AidsOf course, many of the first class airfares cover a large geographical area. First class airfare passengers get a whole lot of stuff when traveling on first class airfares; let's take a peek at some of those goodie bags now.
Fuel Costs and Air Fares Set To Rocket After Hurricane Katrina Punishes The US It now looks certain that Hurricane Katrina will push fuel prices - and air fares - up through the roof. The US still needs its fuel, so world fuel prices, and everyone else's air fares are likely to hit heights we've never seen before.
Airline Travel Lingo! Does The Language Need An Interpreter? If you make a stop for example in Denver, you will change planes at that airport, but with the same American Airline carrier. This is when you as a passenger changes airplanes, but instead of boarding the same company plane you will be on a different airline.
