The Wright Brothers
If you are like me you are very interesting in flying and aviation history. Orville and Wilbur Wright were mere bicycle mechanics, yet they changed the history of mankind by inventing the first aircraft. We are so fortunate in our nation to be afforded the time to think and the great civilization to explore and try new things. It is from this we get our greatest invention and greatest minds. Orville and Wilbur Wright were two such gentlemen.

The History of the Aircraft Wash Guys, Part One
This article is about the history of just such a company. Andrew and Lance were also in the Boy Scout Aviation Explorers. This was when the ITC-Investment tax credit was taken away, America was still in the energy crisis with high fuel prices and luxury tax law went into affect the next year and killed General Aviation. In the most history of commerce under a common currency from Amsterdam forward to the Global Power House of the United States of America we have seen franchises lead the way. As part of this business he started the first Aircraft Multi-Listing Service, which was online.

Airbus A-380 is Pretty Big
We shall see what happens, the gamble by Airbus may pay off, or this could be one of the biggest disasters in aviation history since the Comet or the Concorde a few years back. Think on it, the aviation community is as the world waits for an additional six month delay now. The massive aircraft also takes a lot of room to turn around, a lot of runway is needed for safety and can you imagine the congestion out front the terminal when that many folks deplane? Anyway, just because you build a huge aircraft does not mean it is the best choice. Sure there was some pilot error involved, always is, but you see the problem. Remember the crash in NY when the Airbus took off behind the loaded 747 Cargo Plane and lost its tail as it closed the distance gap.

Boeing is Really Flying Now
Commercial Aviation has taken quite a hit in the last five years and things did not look so great for Boeing after having massive layoffs, orders for new aircraft cut and lackluster sales. As the world grows closer together commercial aviation has a chance to take advantage of the new one-world economy. Today is quite a different story, those who betted against the Boeing Company or sold their stock prematurely must be kicking themselves now, they would have made quite a bit on their money had they simply reviewed their history notes of the last few decades. The Boeing Company has the expertise to help bring back monies to our country for all those goods we buy from places like India and China. Many other industries have left our shores to foreign lands.

New Airbus A-380 Beats Out 747
If and when an International Terrorist Cell gets one, it will become instantly the largest airline disaster in the history of the world, due to the shear number of passengers on board. Many airports cannot even take an airliner so large, as the distance to turn it around are significant and the wing tips are wider than that of the runway, meaning the wing tip vortices will dig up the grass on the sides of the runways making ditches on both sides. This of course is unlikely because most handheld missiles are heat seeking and therefore will generally go to where the heat is instead, thus taking out one of four engines. Luckily bringing down such a large aircraft will not be easy, nor will it be able to be blown out of the sky with a handheld anti-aircraft missile unless it is lucky enough to hit a fuel tank. The A-380 will become the largest passenger jet in the world holding the largest number of passengers.

The History of the Aircraft Wash Guys, Part Three
Winslow has been so proactive in helping the team with environmental compliance and giving his expertise to government agencies who are developing BMPs for the Aviation Industry. In aviation things are more critical than in the automotive sector, but he believed that being overly concerned with the little details would actually be a good thing and advantage over the competition when dealing with cars. Winslow has always been passionate about flying and aviation. Arthur helped the company design labels and with the help of his chemist design better products which were safe for the aviation cleaning industry working actually out of Lance's garage. So the team got together to make a set of training videos, upgrade equipment so that the team could keep the aviation customers and comply with the laws.

Sport Aviation and Jet Aircraft
To our knowledge, the Eclipse 500 [pre-delivery] order book is greater than that of any single civilian jet in the history of aviation. Eclipse Aviation expects to deliver approximately 140 aircraft in 2004, 500 aircraft in 2005, and 900 aircraft in 2006. Fleet customer aircraft delivery commitments extend through 2008. An order placed today will be granted a mid-2006 delivery position. To date, approximately the first two-and-a-half years of production aircraft have been sold out.

American Airlines; Crash: Nov. 12, 2001
It seems this episode in American Air Disasters History is a chapter that we did not have to see to fruition. The years following have been the safest years in Airline Industry History. The aircraft involved in that crash was an old Eastern Airlines plane, which was probably not too sturdy anyway for lack of maintenance back when that airline was falling apart. They should not have been that close to the KLM, as the pilot in command should have moved away from the problem and when problems did occur should have flown the plane first. Some industry analysts say that Airbus builders are working for the laziest Union in the World selling to mostly government subsidized airlines.

Airline Fuel Costs Mount
Surcharges are up to the highest point in the history of the airlines along with the fuel costs at an all time record cost. Think of the military aviation, jets, helicopters, UAVs, AWACs, bombers and even flying gas stations in the sky for aerial re-fueling. The airline industry is under extreme pressure now. If they keep raising their fees to passengers then the passenger per plane ratios drop off, meaning flight are unprofitable. Generally Airlines too are a 24-hour business.

Young Men Trying to Imitate the 9-11 Scenario, Part IV
History is repeating what we already know. We do not need any more rules in general aviation. Why don't they stick up for what is right here and say something? The History of the Aircraft Wash Guys, Part Two
By that time Lance had been operating in many other industries such as Agriculture Cleaning, Concrete Cleaning, Fleet Washing, Auto Detailing, Car Washing and of course Aviation. Lance also got into trouble for flying under a bridge although his friend an FAA Examiner gave him a warning, If you ever try anything like that again, I'll have you thrown in jail, now get the hell out of here!. During this time Lance also became involved in motorcycle street racing, the speed did not bother him much, so he did quite well. Lance was looking to take all his knowledge and bring it to the market on a big scale starting in California and then the Sun Belt States and eventually into Europe. Without any success in finding venture capital, Lance continued his business, got into politics and at nights, sometimes all night writing up plans to fulfill his mission.

Fly-ins and air shows like the Cactus Fly-In is a way all of us can show our support for our general aviation business sector. Sure many of these services will be replaced, but the all in one type aviation services business will be tough, airport flight schools may opt out of other type services and concentrate on what they are good at and what is most profitable. We are seeing a recovery in general aviation after many companies, especially FBO at smaller airports were forced out of business. The event seems to be growing every year, much busier this year than last year even though general aviation has suffered due to 9-11.
