New Airbus A-380 Beats Out 747
Airbus is putting countermeasures for anti-aircraft missiles as an option for those airlines, which order them. Luckily bringing down such a large aircraft will not be easy, nor will it be able to be blown out of the sky with a handheld anti-aircraft missile unless it is lucky enough to hit a fuel tank. The A-380 will become the largest passenger jet in the world holding the largest number of passengers. Many airports cannot even take an airliner so large, as the distance to turn it around are significant and the wing tips are wider than that of the runway, meaning the wing tip vortices will dig up the grass on the sides of the runways making ditches on both sides. This of course is unlikely because most handheld missiles are heat seeking and therefore will generally go to where the heat is instead, thus taking out one of four engines.

Do Jet Lag Diets Work?
Anti jet lag diets have been around for some time now, but do they work. Perhaps the best know anti jet lag diet is the Argonne Diet, developed at the Argonne National Laboratory in 1982. The US military deploy hundreds of thousands of troops around the world every year and jet lag has a significant effect upon their operations. However, curing jet lag on this scale can also be a very expensive business and so looking for a simple, inexpensive, convenient and readily available solution, with few if any side-effects was essential. Jet lag results from the inability of your body to adjust its own internal clock fast enough to bring it into line with local time when traveling.

Essential Oil Skin Care Tips for Frequent Fliers
I like to put 3 drops Lavender, 3 drops Neroli, and 3 drops of Rose per 4 ounces of water because these oils are not only hydrating, they're also anti-aging. For dry scalp (which causes embarrassing flakes) and lips in-flight, rub several drops of Lavender oil into your scalp and a single drop onto your lips to help eliminate dandruff and alleviate chapped lips. I like a blend of equal parts Roman Chamomile, Palmarosa, Ylang Ylang, Rose, and Sandalwood. Add 10 drops of a good Dry Skin essential oil blend to 1 ounce of your favorite shea butter-based body lotion for maximum benefit as well. After you land, take a nice, long bath to soak up more moisture and soothe your nerves.

Hypersonic or Ultrasonic Sound to Disrupt Laser Beam Attack on Commercial Airliners
It is possible that such a method may give the pilots a few seconds extra time to put on anti-laser head gear. We believe such a device could be easily and cheaply built and installed in airliners. Such a device and use of hypersound might even be an option for those who fly into combat where THEL systems are guarding the region. Once seen by the enemy it maybe too late to dodge the lasers, as it takes such a small time to burn the retinas of a pilots eyes. As we recently saw with the Delta Airlines scare where the pilots were nearly blinded by what they described as a laser light, we believe that this idea may be the answer.

Cracking Aircraft Windows with Directed Sound Waves
Such a weapon would be inexpensive to use and save millions of dollars in anti-aircraft missiles, which often fail to hit their mark when the enemy has sufficient counter measures. A weapon of this type, which can crack windshields of aircraft would deter manned aircraft from entering a safety zone containing our military or civilian assets. When even a crack appears pilots must take action as the concerns of loss of cabin pressure take priority. Often flights with breaches in the pressurization system are forced to land or fly below twelve thousand five hundred feet where the oxygen percentages in the air are livable for humans. Recently a Delta Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing after the airplane's windshield cracked.

Future Shuttle Launches
The military aircraft we have are all equipped with anti-SAM systems. True safety should begin with complete reality based thinking, back up systems and confidence in the abilities of the systems and those trusted to do their job. Additionally why would the astronauts need to see to fly the spacecraft/aircraft at that point? After all they practice such aborted launches after lift off in simulators, where they are not actually looking at the ground and also we have available now systems, which are even used in Business Jets for zero/zero visibility landings. Is it possible to have such a system for the space shuttle launch? Or can we send up fire works along the perimeters of the spectator areas to trick a missile fired by anyone with a hand held surface to air shoulder launched weapon? We know our Space Shuttle could be targeted by International Terrorists. The systems send out many very hot flare type pieces out of the back of the aircraft and fool the Surface to air missile into thinking that those are the targets, thus the missile goes after the chafe flares instead of the actual aircraft.

Jet Lag - 5 In-flight Tips
This, however, is only the foundation of your anti jet lag plan and all of your sound preparatory work will be wasted if you don't also ensure that you follow a sensible routine during your flight. Donald Saunders is the author of a number of health related publications on the subject of coping with insomnia and overcoming jet lag. Taking the simple steps outlined here will certainly go a long way towards preventing jet lag. The secret to combating jet lag, and arriving at your destination with little or no jet lag, lies in sound preparation well in advance of your date of travel. This will not only help reduce the effects of jet lag, but will also help maintain a normal level of blood pressure and good circulation throughout a long flight.

Entering Business Aviation, Part V: Tips on Finding Work
Preferably, you would also attend events where a lot of pilots hang out, especially pilots of cabin class jets which include the Global Express, G-V and Falcon Jet 2000. After the recent crashes involving corporate jets you certainly do want to be knowledgeable about industry best practices involving ice. If you are an NBAA member you get a copy of their directory which lists many companies that fly these very same jets. See if you notice any difference in jobs listed. If you are a corporate flight attendant, do not expect many jobs to be listed publicly in any case.

American Airlines; Crash: Nov. 12, 2001
If you jeopardize or disavow these known quantities you will get to visit Murphy much more often than originally anticipated. Some industry analysts say that Airbus builders are working for the laziest Union in the World selling to mostly government subsidized airlines. The aircraft involved in that crash was an old Eastern Airlines plane, which was probably not too sturdy anyway for lack of maintenance back when that airline was falling apart. Three pilots sitting in a cockpit who make way over the average standard of living and negated the reason they are so highly paid. They should not have been that close to the KLM, as the pilot in command should have moved away from the problem and when problems did occur should have flown the plane first.

Essential Oil Skin Care Tips for Frequent Fliers
Here are 5 essential-oil based in-flight skin care tips that have worked for me, a former Frequent Flier. Add 10 drops of a good Dry Skin essential oil blend to 1 ounce of your favorite shea butter-based body lotion for maximum benefit as well.

Do Jet Lag Diets Work?
Curing jet lag through the use of so-called anti jet lag diets is a nice idea, but, unfortunately, it's myth rather than reality. Jet lag results from the inability of your body to adjust its own internal clock fast enough to bring it into line with local time when traveling.

Cracking Aircraft Windows with Directed Sound Waves
Using such directed waves we can penetrate and crack aircraft canopies, rendering the aircraft useless to continue the mission. Currently we have talking glass technologies, which vibrate windows and can be used to whisper sounds.

Inflatable Aircraft Wing Camber Modification
I propose an inflatable wing camber modification system for modern day fighter aircraft to save on fuel and increase range. The system would be recessed into two-inch deep areas on the wings.

Young Men Trying to Imitate the 9-11 Scenario, Part I
This is something that the young man who flew into the B of A building was clearly missing. People who had aircraft they bought leased them back to a flight school to afford the monthly payments.

Entering Business Aviation, Part V: Tips on Finding Work
Time honored and time tested this is an important method for finding work and it is also one of the hardest for the majority of people to do. Much depends on your own initiative; I find that those individuals who do the most exploring have an easier time finding work.
