Emad Salam Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority chairman said the plane caught fire as it was preparing to leave Luxor airport where it had stopped to refuel the Kuwait News Agency KUNA reported. Salam said firefighters battled the blaze but were unable to save the crew members. Border Patrol chopper goes down near San nofre

—Authorities say three people were hurt when a Border Patrol helicopter made a hard landing near the San nofre nuclear power plant. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the chopper was forced to land Thursday night in shallow water near the plant. Gregor says preliminary information indicates there were three people onboard and all got out of the chopper on their own. They were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries.
