Eclipse after consultation with the Ad Hoc Committee of Senior Secured Noteholders and the fficial Committee of Unsecured Creditors determined there were no qualified bids said Dan Guyder a partner with Eclipse’s law firm Allen & very LLP in New York. “There will be no auction” Guyder said.

The bill — the Troubled Assets Relief Program– includes a provision that would require companies receiving federal bailout funds to divest their corporate aircraft fleet or their jet leases. Congressman Barney Frank D-Mass. chairman of the House Financial Services Committee introduced the language Friday. The bill comes as business jet makers are reeling from a down economy which has led to order cancellations and deferrals those opposing the bill note.

) A provision in the House Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) that would have required businesses that receive federal bailout money to divest private aircraft has been removed. Senator Sam Brownback's office made the announcement Tuesday afternoon saying he applauds the move. Brownback and other Kansas representatives said the provision would have caused a negative impact on the general aviation industry. Congressman Todd Tiahrt told Eyewitness News in an interview Monday that the provision targets a single industry and could have had devastating impacts on thousands of Kansas families. NE cties unite to reopen improved Aviation Blvd. crossing

Schertz Mayor Hal Baldwin and Universal City Mayor Pro Tem Bob Yost cut a ribbon to officially reopen the newly improved Aviation Boulevard crossing which goes over Cibolo Creek. The Aviation crossing which has served as a secondary route for FM 78 between both cities had been closed to traffic since June when work crews began to replace the old roadway with an elevated one with eight-foot high culverts. The old roadway was replaced because during rain events even minor ones it would flood forcing the closure of the crossing for weeks at a time. ther improvements include turn lanes on the Schertz side of the road to help motorists turn left or right onto Main Street. Baldwin said the several months the crossing was closed for improvements showed how vital the roadway is for alleviating traffic from Randolph Air Force Base and nearby schools and for commerce especially for businesses located on Aviation Road in Universal City.

Future of Army aviation is topic of symposium
