Tracking reported errors formore than 30 years has allowed researchers to effectively pinpoint problemswithin the aviation system identify safety risks and proactively address theproblems before flying customers are jeopardized. China’s Okay Airways to stop passenger service

The Juneyao Group controlling shareholder of Okay Airwaysfiled an application in November to the authority to suspendOkay’ passenger service the China Business News reported earlieron Thursday. Okay Airways received verbal approval on Wednesday from theCivil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) allowing it tohalt passenger operations on Dec 15 said Han Jing the company’sspokesman. “We have no idea why Juneyao filed the application to suspendour operation” Han told Reuters on the phone. Okay Airways’ cargo business would remain unchanged Hanadded. Officials at Juneyao were not immediately available forcomment. The newspaper quoted Juneyao’s chairman Wang Junjin assaying that Okay Airways needed to increase profitability andmake a turnaround in passenger services in the face of the globalfinancial crisis.
