Frontier Airlines Names Interim Leader at Lynx Aviation

Aviation course may gain wings

Stow-Munroe Falls District Superintendent Dr. Russell Jones on Nov. 10 introduced to his district’s School Board a new college tech prep initiative the district may offer in the future through the Six District Educational Compact, a regional consortium which provides career training, services and resources to students in six school districts, including Hudson. “We are exploring bringing two programs to the high school, for which Stow-Munroe Falls would be the host school,” Jones told the Board.

Pioneer Museum chronicles history of aviation in Valley

Hanging from the ceiling are precise models of antique airplanes that can still be seen flying around Bozeman thanks to some avid airplane restorers. The exhibit opened on Friday evening to a crowd of 70, including some of the pilots who helped the students gather the information for the exhibit. Pond said she was so nervous for the opening, when experts in aviation would pick over their work, that she can only remember about half of the night. The three began working on the exhibit last May, uncovering far more information than could be used in the exhibit. As is so often true in historical study, piecing together early accounts proved the most difficult, Lowell said. But they got through it, and will be following up the exhibit with a publication of all they learned, said John Russell, the museum’s executive director. “This is one of the larger scale projects any intern has done,” Russell said.
