Flight problem for Aviation Minister

Flight IT 310 with 90 passengers, including Mr. Patel, took off from Delhi airport in the afternoon and returned 15 minutes later when the pilot received an e-cam warning on his screen because of some problem with the air-conditioners, sources said. “Precautionary measure”
Airline officials said the flight came back to Delhi as a “precautionary measure”. The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation informed the Civil Aviation Ministry that there was a minor snag in the air-conditioner of the aircraft.

In many ways, Corona’s air traffic and airport exemplify the challenges facing all airports in the region. This week in Corona, a city task force will meet to examine aviation safety there — the site of the region’s deadliest plane crash this year. The Inland region saw a spike in plane crashes this year with eight crashes and 13 fatalities in the first two months of the year. Story continues below.

That AD currently requires reworking the surface of the groundstud bracket of the left and right transformer rectifier units(TRUs) and the airplane structure mounting surface, and measuringthe resistance from the bracket to the structure and the groundlugs to the bracket using a bonding meter. This new AD revises theapplicability of the existing AD to include additional airplanesand requires, among other actions, installation of a new groundstud bracket using faying surface bonding.

Sanctioned by global aviation fuel specification authorities Sasol CTL will be the first fully synthetic fuel to be approved for use in commercial airliners. This marks a significant development in the adoption of clean burning alternative fuels for the aviation industry; engine-out emissions of Sasol’s jet fuel are lower than those from jet fuel derived from crude oil due to its limited sulphur content. Approval of Sasol’s CTL fuel for commercial aviation is also a milestone in the effort to secure domestic energy supply for South Africa and other countries with significant domestic coal and natural gas reserves; Sasol’s transformative technology will allow these countries to monetize natural resources and increase energy security. Commenting on the announcement, Pat Davies, CE of Sasol said, "This is an historic breakthrough — winning approval for a transportation fuel that is 100% synthetic.
