Nigeria: Aviation Sector – Can Hyet Save Us? (1)
AllAfrica.com – Mar 28, 2008
The light Aircraft with three crew members disappeared into thin air and since then has not been traced. This tragedy, to put it straight, signposted the tragic mess in the Nigerian Aviation sector bedeviled by series of Air crashes in the last decade killing several highly trained and talented Nigerians and foreigners alike. The administration of the immediate past president left a bad legacy of several air crashes with devastating consequences. The rot in the aviation sector in Nigeria came to light long before Chief Femi Fani-Kayode became the minister in charge of the Aviation sector and certainly long before his successor in office, the intensely God- fearing Hassan Hyet became the minister of State for Transport in charge of Aviation.
