Mr James Seda of Kenya Civil Aviation Authority was elected to the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers Association (Ifatca) Professional and Technical Committee (PLC), for two years. In the PLC, Kenya will be responsible for developing a working paper on ‘Review of ICAO Runway Incursion Prevention Manual’. Other members include representatives from Air Traffic Controller Association from Germany, Hong Kong and the US. The association has lined up a number of meetings, beginning with Hong Kong conference in October and Paris France in January.

Moments ago, shuttle pilot Dominic Gorie brought Endeavour in for aby-the-numbers, on-the-numbers landing at the Shuttle LandingFacility adjacent to Florida’s Kennedy Space Center. The nighttime landing is the 16th of the space shuttle program,according to Fox News, and bookended Endeavour’s nighttime launchMarch 11. During the 16-day mission, the crew of STS-123 installed thefirst segment of the Japanese Kibo science lab on the InternationalSpace Station. Spacewalkers also assembled the Canadian Dextrerobotic maintenance apparatus, and conducted new tests on repairmethods for shuttle heat shield tiles.
